So You Want To Try Marijuana? Well, Let’s Get Started

Last year was a tough year for a lot of people when it comes to mental and physical health. Consequently, the amount of people who are wanting to try their hand at marijuana is growing. There is more and more evidence coming out about how effective cannabis can be in treating mental health problems as well as people suffering from chronic pain and other conditions. As a result of all this increase in demand, cannabis products are becoming more available in a wider variety of consumption methods. Cannabis in the United States is the most accessible it has ever been - consequently, many people are looking to get into cannabis for the first time. Trying something new can be daunting on it’s own, but the world of marijuana can be a bit confusing for people who are unfamiliar with cannabis. That’s why I wanted to come on here and write this beginner guide to different types of marijuana strains.

Any person who has consumed a decent amount of cannabis in their lifetime will tell you that not all marijuana is grown or created equally. Many different types of marijuana strains are better for different purposes than others, and each can be subjective to whoever is using them. The first thing you need to do when it comes to getting marijuana is making sure that it is legal in your state. If so, then we have some great tips for you on how you can get started on your cannabis journey.

So first off, we need to talk about what marijuana strains are. There are three broad categories with which marijuana strains are divided into. They are listed as follows: indicda, sativa, and hybrid. The indica marijuana strain is originally from the mountains of India - it is also what most people think of when they think of weed. Indica has a more relaxing and calming high than other categories, which makes it perfect for people who are trying to treat anxiety, stress, or insomnia. This type of marijuana is also more of a full body experience, meaning that it will heavily affect your motor function and sometimes how you can move around. Pretty cool stuff! The sativa stand is more of an energy inducer compared to indiva. This strand is also effective at reducing stress and anxiety, but the high is more energizing and brings clarity through a “head high”. A hybrid strand would be a combination of both the sativa and indica genetics in the plant, creating an experience with both the effects of sativa and indica. Most cannabis users generally prefer this type of strain for the most enjoyable high and overall experience.

So if you are looking for something to start off as a beginner, we definitely recommend searching up some of the most popular strands that are considered to be the safest and most researched. It is also important to talk to your doctor about consuming cannabis before you actually do so, just to make sure that everything will be okay. At the end of the day, keep in mind that you are the owner of your own body and mind, and cannabis is something you can do if you want to!
